Hollywood, CA, United States (4E) – Zoe Saldana has gotten a little bit emotional as she and her sisters planned a tribute to their mother Asalia Nazario.
The trio has planned a surprise party for the matriarch of the family as they have launched their latest web series called “My Hero” and is set to premiere this Friday.
In the teaser video that has been posted on Saldana’s Twitter page on Thursday, she was seen with her sisters Mariel and Cisely as they expressed thoughtful and touching words towards their mother.
The sisters pressed that their mother had to make a lot of difficult decisions following a tragedy in their lives. The father of the trio have been killed in a car accident and their mother had to take care of them but were sent to their grandparents’ home in the Dominican Republic as their mother believed New Yorj won’t be a great place to raise them.
Saldana said, “You are the ultimate rock star because you became my friend, because you showed us your humanity when we were too young to understand.” The camera then panned to their mom who was seen wiping her tears away as her three daughters thanked her.
Saldana also pressed that she has never met anyone like her mom who had such vulnerability and strength. Saldana is known for always fondly talking about her mother and how much she has influenced her as well as her father as she remembers how protective he was of them and how great of a father he was to their family.
